For his new flick Rock of Ages Tom Cruise had to go through a bit of a change. Lets call it a massive makeover. He transformed his already fairly toned bod into a ripped muscly chest, had tattoos (painted) alll over and grew his hair out to look long and greasy. Rock god perfect. A good slick of guyliner and black finger nails and he was good to hit the stage. One person not so keen on Cruise's new look was daughter Suri.
The 6-year-old apparently found it a bit weird when she say her dad parading around in leather trousers and make up.
Tom revealed that his little took a bit of time to get her head around her father's new look. Chatting to Ryan Seacrest of swoonworthy fame on his KIIS-FM radio show, Tom said...
"When I had the eyeliner and the painted nails, [Suri] was a little taken aback by it. She was like, 'What's happening to my dad?' "
Fair enough point in our eyes. Though saying that, your dad is Tom Cruise, Suri. You know, the same bloke he normally runs around climbing up cliffs and stuff.
"I joke with friends because she goes to [mom Katie Holmes's] sets and there's hair and makeup and they're very nice. Suri comes to my sets and she's got to wear a hard helmet. There are explosions going off. Dad is bloody. He's bruised."
Not so bloody and bruised on the Rock of Ages set though. For his role as hardcore headbanger and lead singer of band Arsenal Stacee Jaxx Cruise insisted on taking as many singing lessons as was needed to get his voice up to scratch. For five months Tom had vocal lessons for a whopping five hours every day. We're surprised he had a voice left by the end of it!
