With the weatherman telling us that hot weather is on the way, it's finally time to start thinking about how to get beautifully glossy, heathly summer hair.
Peter Lux, Head & Shoulder' Creative Beauty Director shares his top tips for getting summer hair, using Kate Bosworth's locks as hair-spiration

1. Wash your hair with a shampoo and conditioner regimen that suits your scalp and hair needs – something gentle like head&shoulders Smooth & Silky will leave hair beautiful and shiny and your scalp in great condition. Then rinse well with luke warm water
2. Gently towel-dry your hair by squeezing the water out of the hair as opposed to rubbing which aggravates the hair cuticles causing tangles and dullness
3. Next, apply a heat protector spray all over the head to minimise damage during heat styling and spritz with a volumising spray at the roots
4. Rough dry with a good hairdryer on a medium heat setting until the hair is just a little damp. Never blow dry on the hottest setting as this can cause unnecessary dryness and hair breakage
5. Comb your hair into a defined centre parting, then starting at the nape of the neck, section your hair into eight chunky sections, blow drying each over a natural bristle brush in a downwards motion, until dry
6. To finish, spritz with a light mist of shine spray and you’ll be ready to stroll the pavements of LA with a beautiful Kate Bosworth-inspired blow out
