Pre-losing a bunch of weight for a film role, Matthew McConaughey would often be snapped running around in just a pair of little shorts in the sunshine. No shirt required as Matt's buff bod got aired on a regular basis much to our eyeballs' pleasure. So how funny is that the man with the pecs and not that many shirts is now launching his very own clothing collection!
The Magic Mike star (yes, the movie where he stripped. A lot) is creating the collection called JKL which will be an extension of the Just Keep Living Foundation. The foundaton is "dedicated to empowering high school students to lead active lives and make healthy choices to become great men and women" and Matt's clothes will help raise funds with 10 cents of every dollar going to the charity.
The collection will feature very Matt-like goods such as windbreakers, cotton nylon shorts, utility trousers and swimwear.
Designers such as Marc Jacobs et al needn't be too scared, Matthew didn't actually design any clothes, he just heped develop ideas for how the clothes would look and feel.
And for those of you who will want to deck yourself or your man out in McConaughey-covered bits, you might have to wait. The actor is adament his name won't be appearing anywhere on the line.
Speaking to WWD the buff one said, "As a kid, I wore J.C. Penney plain-pocket jeans because they were plain pockets. I didn't want anybody's name on my backside. I want to be behind this, not in front of it. I'm the author, not the face or the definition."
Handsome, hot and lovely? Total babe *sigh*.
