2. He’s a singing Romeo

 

Liam asked out his first crush by singing to her. According to the young gent, he cornered her by the lockers at school before crooning Mario’s Let Me Love You.

The sentiment is great. Shame about the song choice.

3. He’s a cross-dressing expert

 

He says, “My sisters used to dress me… They used to try to influence my fashion a bit. Which you know… may have involved a heel or two.”

Fair enough, it’s a little brother’s job to be the model.

4. He’s Captain Sensible

 

He’s like the old man of 1D – it’s rumoured his nickname is Daddy Direction. Often keeping the rowdy lads in line, he is known for being more sensible than the others. We love an old head on young shoulders.

He says, “Harry [Styles] is like a younger brother. We do exercises together then he asks me to prepare a sandwich for the effort.”

5. He’s Mr Generous

 

The boy may be earning a bomb, but he makes sure that he shares the wealth. It was reported that he brought girlfriend Danielle a brand new Audi TT, costing around £50,000. Lucky mare. Even better though, he also brought his family a new puppy called Brit!

6. He’s Justin Bieber’s Doppelganger!

 

If it all goes down the pan Liam, you could make a mint from this. Maybe you could try and get your girlfriend to be Selena Gomez.

7. He’s a fountain of wisdom

 

“The worst thing a boy could do to a girl? Well personally, I think it’s to ignore her while she is loving you with all her heart.”

8. He has a fear of… spoons!

 

"I have a phobia of spoons – I haven't used one in about 10 years”, he says. “In restaurants, when I don't know where the spoons have been, I can't use them. But I can use all the other cutlery."

9. He used to be shy

 

According to his performing arts teacher, Liam used to watch his big sisters on the stage, but on deciding he wanted to have a go, he wasn’t as keen: “He was really timid when he first started, I literally had to push him on to the stage he was so petrified.”

Thank god you gave him the shove. 1D wouldn’t be the same as a four-piece.
 

10. He’s a nice, steady boyfriend

 

Liam met his girlfriend, dancer Danielle Peazer on the X Factor in 2010 and the pair have been smitten ever since.
