When Adele burst onto the scene with Hometown Glory in 2007, everyone knew that this North Londoner was going to be something special.
Adele Laurie Blue Adkins – what a name – went on to become one of the biggest selling British artists with hits like Someone Like You and Set Fire to the Rain. She took a break from the industry earlier this year after announcing she was pregnant.
Real Stories
To celebrate the singer’s life – heat TV will be airing a brand new series of Real Stories with Adele. With revelations, hilarity and expert analysis from heat editor Lucie Cave and the Mirror’s showbiz editor, Dean Piper – this is one show that will have you rolling around in your seat.
The hour-long episode will explore the highs and lows of the 24-year-olds rise to fame. Watch her transformation from a loud, everyday girl from London into a woman with one of the iconic voices in the world. From her schools mates and teachers from the Brit School to an old manager – find out everything about her rise to the top, only on heat TV.
One of our favourite bits is when Mat Kirby, the producer of the video for Make You Feel My Love - used his own phone number in the video. Watch the clip below to see what has happened since.
Watching her come through the ranks to celebrity status, stardom has done little to change the star and this is on of the reasons heat editor Lucie Cave believes we love her so much.
“She still buys her pants from Primark, she’d still rather sit in the pub with her mates than go to the gym. Once when she was on stage, she cut her finger and she couldn’t find a plaster, so she just put a tampon on the end of it.”
We love just love that girl.
Tune in to watch this amazing climb to fame, with lots of beer and plenty of fags thrown in along the way.
