It’s the biggest event in the nuptial calendar - and next Friday will see Prince William and his lovely lady Kate Middleton tie the knot at Westminster Abbey.
And today, the Palace have released the seating plan for the big day which has revealed that there’ll be a few famous faces in the crowd. First up will be David and Victoria Beckham who will be special guests on the day. Alongside them will be Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish – both of whom were very close to Prince William’s late mother, Lady Diana. And it seems, Wills is still close to his mum’s bezzie with even George Michael revealing the other day that William still calls Sir Elt’, “Uncle Elton” – too sweet!
Also, hopping around for the free bar and a good feed will be Madonna’s ex, Guy Ritchie who will be putting his job of being a British film director on hold to attend the big ceremony. And with him will also Rowan ‘Mr Bean’ Atkinson and – wait for it – Joss Stone! Yes, we said Joss Stone. She performed at a tribute gig for Princess Diana back in 2007 – and so has earned her spot on the sparkly guest list.
Of course there will also be all the usual big names – Brit' Prime Minister David Cameron and his fair lady wife Sam will be there, along with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and his missus, Miriam.
All in all, it’s not a bad list and we’re more than a bit gutted that we can’t be there quaffing champagne with VB while David Beckham makes us laugh with top football-related stories. Sigh… one day we will be worthy…
