FIRST LOOK: Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding portraits released

After an amazing run up to their big day, Prince William and Kate Middleton finally tied the knot yesterday. And what a day it was, all full of pomp and ceremony (we like that description).

Now, most of us saw all the exciting scenes as they actually unfolded – but let’s take a look at the behind-the-scenes splendour. Some official family shots perhaps? Oh – go on then!

We particularly love the one with the entire family in – with the Queen looking all collected on her royal seat and Prince Harry grinning away like he knows he’s about to head off and party hard.

They’re all beautiful of course and makes us want to shed a little happy tear or two for our future King and his stunning bride. Go Wills and Kate!

    She's not hidden away- she was at the biggest royal event for ages! She's just not photographed that often, or out in public that much. She's only seven anyway, maybe they don't want her in the public eye that much at a young age.

    I am amazed that 'hiding of imperfect children' still goes on in the royal family. I hope that isn't true. What is this, the 18th Century?

    i feel bad for my comment now, she looks like my cousin who never manages to smile in photos-he always manages to have a almost smile but he never manages a full smile in photos.

    That's Edward and Sophie's daughter Louise- she has a medical condition (can't remember what it's called) that makes her eyes go funny so she's never usually seen in public.

    i like this photo but has anyone else noticed the little bridesmaid at the back looks a little like she is puling a face/in about to smile but not quite there look. how good do they look with kids around them tho. and they both look very happt together
