We all knew the first X Factor single was going to be a huge success, but we bet no-one actually predicted records would be broken. It's just been confirmed that Alexandra's Hallelujah single is officially the fastest-selling download EVER across Europe. Alexandra's single was downloaded 105,000 times in just one day, beating the 82,000 record previously held by X Factor champ Leona Lewis. Hallelujah is currently sitting at Number One on HMV.com, 7Digital and Play.com’s download chart, as well as being top of the iTunes 100 chart. To give you an idea of just how amazing this achievement is, we can tell you that Take That's latest single Greatest Day was only downloaded 9,488 on its first day. As well as getting her name into the record books, Alexandra been up to lots of other exciting bits and bobs, and she'll written all about it on her brand new blog. "It feels surreal to be sitting here typing this as the winner of The X Factor 2008," she writes. "As I’m sure you can imagine, the last few hours have been a whirlwind. As soon as I was declared winner I was whisked off to a big press conference where the UK’s media fired questions at me and my gorgeous mentor Cheryl Cole. I was in a bit if a daze so I hope I was making sense!" Alexandra then goes on to say she attended a photo shoot at her new record label SyCo, before recording her performance for the exciting Christmas Top Of The Pops. "I grew up watching that show and to be performing there was beyond my wildest dreams," she admits, "Other acts on the bill were Coldplay and Girls Aloud, so I was in amazing company."
