Messing with the super-successful and much-loved format of The X Factor was always going to be risky, but do you think Cowell and co made the right decision making the hopefuls audition in front of a live audience? We can't deny that Saturday's launch show was a-mazing – especially Danyl, who we'll probably be talking about all day today – but we do admit we missed the intimacy of the previous audition process, when it was just a shabby room at a conference centre with the judges and a few cameras. Of course, whoever goes on to win The X Factor must be able to cope with a large crowd, so in a way it makes sense to test the hopefuls at this early stage. However, having a live audience there does mean the judges are saying much less, and it's the banter between them that we're partly – if not mostly – tuning in to watch. So, do YOU think the new, Britain's Got Talent-type format is a winner, or are you missing those early auditions? Vote below, and tell us your thoughts.
