We love a good rags-to-riches story here at heatworld, and X Factor's just full of them. As much as we enjoy watching the stage school brats prance about, it’s the tear-jerkers that really get us going. This year we’ve been loving Mary Byrne, with her amazing voice and a demeanour that has something of the dinner lady about it. And, clearly, we’re not the only ones who find her irresistible.
According to the Daily Mail, Tesco Mary could be set to make around a million quid in lucrative sponsorship deals even if she doesn’t win the show. A source tells the paper, “Mary is set to make a fortune on the back of the X Factor, she has become a star. She has even been offered a plus sized clothing range for a supermarket and Marks and Spencer have been in touch. They love her - who knows, she could be joining Twiggy and Myleene Klass on the adverts in time!”
As she’s a curvaceous size 20 we’re assuming M&S won’t be using Mary in their saucy lingerie ads; and would she really abandon Tesco after the company’s been so supportive? Bosses even got into trouble after they emailed 300,000 employees asking them to vote Mary.
Either way we think we’d probably buy a product she was selling, especially if it was edible. Go on Tesco, give her a range! We’d pick Mary’s dinner over Nigella’s any day.
