Simon Cowell has been talking about Cheryl Cole’s US X Factor sacking yet again. We didn’t think there was much more to be said on the subject, but apparently there is, as this time Simon has admitted that he thought Cheryl was out of her depth on the show.
Si joined his old Britain’s Got Talent co-judge Piers Morgan for a chat on his CNN show, and Piers wasted no time in questioning the reality TV boss about the whole sorry Cheryl saga.
“I was talking to someone about this at the screening the other night and they put it very well - she looked a bit bewildered, revealed Simon. “Not everyone's like you Piers. You come to a country like America, it's a big deal, takes a while to adjust. And I took the view, along with a few other people, that she would have been more comfortable back in the UK.”
We’ll never hear Simon admit he was wrong about anything, but he come close when by admitting that as the X Factor boss he has to take responsibility for how things worked out with Cheryl,
“That's what you have to do when you produce, you have to make decisions in the moment and I take full responsibility for it.”
The X Factor USA reaches our screen tomorrow night on ITV2 at 8pm – so we’ll be able to judge for ourselves just how “bewildered” Cheryl was on the show.
