Ooooo and errrrrr. What's this? The X Factor judges are at war already? Apparently so. "It's gone into a new gear – it's war!" Gary Barlow admits. "But I'm confident I have the winner." Gazza has, of course, been given the envious task of mentoring the Boys category this year – and he's taking no prisoners. "I know that the girls are a brilliant category," he says. "I'm most worried about the girls' category. I think it's bloody strong – but we'll take them."
Despite all the (very nice and sexy, thank you very much) chest-beating over his chosen boys, Gary did reveal that "they all need work". He also thinks that Tulisa and her Groups could be a real threat, saying that the Groups have never had a better mentor. We bet Simon Cowell will love that. Or not. Funnily enough, GazBo failed to make any mention of Louis Walsh and his Overs category. Strange that.
In past series of The X Factor, the tension between the judges as the competition progresses has been one of the things we've most enjoyed. Cheryl Cole's death stares at Simon, Louis' thinly-veiled put-downs of Cheryl's song choices, Dannii blinking back tears of utter rage. There's nothing like a good old bitch, is there? But surely Gary Barlow is far too calm and well-mannered to do any of that, right? We hope not!
Don't forget to tune in to The X Factor this weekend to watch all the action from Judges' Houses AND find out which lucky plucky mad things make it through to the live shows. Eeeeek!
