If you’re wondering why last night’s X Factor results show didn’t descend into the usual blub-fest, it’s all because the newest X Factor reject Janet Devlin is actually happy about leaving the competition!
“I’m excited. I know that is the strangest thing for a contestant that’s been kicked off the show to say but I’m excited for the gigs and about the tour,” Janet told Olly Murs and Caroline Flack on last night’s Xtra Factor.
The Irish teenager also not-so-subtly hinted that she’s looking forward to only singing the songs that she actual likes during next year’s X Factor tour,
“I’m completely fine now because I get to do the songs that I love in gigs, I don’t have to pick a song that’s bad.”
So we’re safe to assume that Mmmm Bop won’t be on Janet’s set-list then!?
As for her future after all the X Factor commitments are over, Janet is positive that she’ll have a career in the music industry,
“I think I’ve proved a lot getting this far and not being a stereotypical X Factor contestant. It will take a while for my music to get out there because of the tour but I want people to be excited by my music.”
Are you sad to see the back of Janet, or did the weekend’s live shows prove that she was the weakest singer left in the competition?
