Now, now – we’ve heard of manly banter, but what’s all this about the other Take That boys telling Gary Barlow he’s a bad judge? According to Mr B himself, Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Robbie Williams have been very forthcoming with their thoughts on their buddy’s performance on The X Factor – and they actually think he’s a bit of a let down (although, they were probably pulling his leg).
“They think I'm rubbish and tell me to get back to my day job," he laughed (presumably through slightly gritted teeth).
The judge, who has faced a lot of criticism over the way he’s dealt with the debacle that was Frankie Cocozza admitted he had made a mistake with the 18-year-old – although he also said a whole host of issues (and people) were to blame for Frankie’s wild behaviour.
But it seems not even his well-thought out put-downs about the contestants (like when he called Sami Brookes a cruise ship singer) has won over his band-mates. Although, it’s good to know Mark Owen is sat in front of The X Factor just like we are on a Saturday night, isn’t it?
Oh and it looks as though Gazza B would have been just as ‘cruise-ship’ as Sami if he was starting out on the show. The XF boys’ mentor revealed he would have been quick to pick an old classic if for his audition – and he would have picked a smooth Lionel Ritchie number.
“I would have sung All Night Long,” he declared.
Hmm, now would that have won your votes, heatworlders? We could just hear Louis now “Ooh you’re like a little Elton John…” etc.
