There have been so many scandals through out this series of The X Factor, so of course there was going to be some controversy in the run up to the grand final this weekend.
There were calls of “fix” when music retailer HMV put Amelia Lily’s winners’ single on their website for pre-order, but they didn’t add Marcus Collins or Little Mix’s tracks. Amelia has now spoken about the embarrassing incident,
“We were really upset by the HMV thing when we found out. But the show is not fixed. It was an error and they took it down.”
HMV’s full statement…
"It's just come to light that there was a technical issue uploading details of two of the artists, which meant that only Amelia Lily's details appreared. However, these have been temporarily removed so that all three finalists details will go up similtaneously tomorrow morning. Once up, fans will be able to preorder the single by their prefered finalist but only orders for the eventual winner's single will be processed and charged for. This was due to an unforseen technical issue, and nothing further should be construed from it"
