So while we’ve been busy posting stories on heatworld, tweeting and generally getting everywhere – we also had ears and eyes at The X Factor studios and have got you all the backstage goss. So if you want to know who was a hit with the behind-the-scenes staff, the Wembley Arena audience and who got the thumbs down? Keep reading to find out…
First up, apparently Essex boy Mark Wright, Ronan Keating, Mel B, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and even Cher Lloyd to cheer on the finalists – and they were all pulling out standing ovations left right and centre.
Little Mix's CD release of Cannonball will feature three bonus tracks - Superbass, ET and Don’t Let Go (Love).
Tulisa Contostavlos found it very hard to walk about in her dress – so much so that she needed two people to help her to her seat after the judges arrived on stage.
Oh and Louis Walsh has been taking full advantage of not having any acts left in the competition - so much so that he's been showing up less than an hour before air time while all the judges have been working hard throughout the day. Alright for some, eh Louis?
Producers were so worried that Little Mix and Marcus would forget the words to the winner's single, Cannonball, that they had put the words up on the autocue machine!
Lots of the behind-the-scenes team were hoping Marcus would win the show because he's always smiling and polite to them, especially the crew - and he also hasn't ever pulled out a sob story live on air.
Despite our initial reservations about Cannonball being the winner’s single (we love the song, but not sure it suits Marcus or Little Mix), Wembley Arena apparently lapped up the performances so much that they were screaming the house down when the song was announced.
After the show ended, the judges headed on stage. Tulisa high-fived her girls while Kelly Rowland headed straight for Marcus to give him a hug and comfort him.
We were also told that despite people suggesting Gary Barlow would be very angry because he came second, he in actual fact was so happy for the girls and congratulated them straight away – he’s also promised Marcus he will support him in the future, saying he’s going to make sure Marcus becomes a star! Bless!
We’ll keep the gossip coming as we get it so come back here for more news through the evening…
