The X Factor has the royal seal of approval – Kate Middleton and Prince William (AKA the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) are both huge fans of the singing competition.
Finalist Marucs Collins outted the couple after speaking to them at Gary Barlow’s Royal Albert Hall solo show this week, “They both said they watched The X Factor. How amazing is that? They asked if I was nervous about the weekend and I said I couldn’t wait,” Marcus told The Mirror. “Kate said she was amazed at how much stronger my vocals were live than on television. I just can’t believe it.”
To be fair we can believe it! Practically everyone we know watches The X Factor, particularly people who are in their 20s like Kate and Wills. We just love the idea of the royal newlyweds sitting down in front of the telly every weekend with a bottle of wine and tube of Pringles. We just want to know who Kate and William will vote for this weekend.
X Factor: No major revamp needed!
Meanwhile, ITV chief executive Adam Crozier has said that he has no plans to radically change The X Factor next year, despite a loss in audience figure this year.
"I think the new judges have done a fantastic job and are important to the future of the show," he said at a Broadcasting Press Guild lunch earlier this week.
When asked if thought the show needed a major overhaul he simply said, “no.”
Do you agree that there’s nothing wrong with The X Factor format, or would you like to see some major changes happening next year?
