She might have been knocked out of The X Factor last night, but Amelia didn’t let that bit of bad news get her down. The third-place finalist headed straight out after The Xtra Factor with mentor Kelly Rowland to watch fellow girl contestant Misha B perform at London club G-A-Y.
The pair danced away as Misha hit all the high notes in an amazing cape and leotard combination (good to see her striking style hasn’t taken a hit since leaving the show) – and after, a very excited Misha thanked her mentor for making it down by tweeting an excited message.
She wrote, “Just did ma thanggg at G-A-Y love to my big sis Kelly Rowland for comin down n showin me some lurveeee !!! #TeamALIEN onwards n upwards :D”
So it sounds like Misha is loving life out of The X Factor limelight then - and our spies say the songstress got a huge reception as she stepped out on to the stage. Yay!
X Factor insiders have also opened up about the apparent feud between Amelia and Kelly – saying there was no bad blood between the pair despite what was reported in the press yesterday. According to the in-the-know source Kelly had in fact spent the entire afternoon with Amelia backstage after the poor girl admitted she was on the brink of losing her voice after sound-checking with a sore throat.
“Kelly felt so bad hearing how ill Amelia was feeling,” the source told us. “So she took Amelia to her dressing room and had a long chat with her. By the end Amelia felt much better about the whole thing – and then Kelly surprised her with a couple of gifts – a pair of designer black boots and a stunning ring with a blue stone. Amelia was so chuffed and knew Kelly would be behind her the whole way.”
According to the insider Amelia and Kelly also spent their last afternoon having a good old girlie time - getting ready together, having their make up done at the same time and hanging out in Kel’s dressing room. “Kelly knew it was manic backstage in the run up to the show so she tried to protect Amelia's nerves by keeping her close to her all afternoon," the source revealed. "And now Kelly is just so sad that Amelia’s been knocked out of the competition, but she knows she will still have a huge career. And she’ll be supporting her.”
