It’s The X Factor Final night! Woop, cheer etc…And after such a long and crazy series of the show, we reckon this final could be anyone’s. But there’s one man who has put his faith firmly in the Little Mix ladies – and that’s Mr Simon Cowell. According to The Sun, the man behind The X Factor machine has decided he wants to turn the girl group into the new Spice Girls, whatever the cost. And insiders are saying there is already a record deal worth millions lined up to make them stars over here and in America! Crikey!
A source revealed, “Simon is thrilled by the quality of this year's finalists — but he's extra excited about Little Mix. He genuinely believes they could be bigger than the Spice Girls. He's had huge successes in his career but a massive girl band has not really been one of them."
Bigger than the Spice Girls? That's a pretty huge statement. What do you think folks? Is Si-Co on the right track with this idea?
And apparently the girls themselves they are very up for following in the footsteps of Geri Halliwell and co’ too. Last night, Little Mix’s Jade Thirwall confirmed, “We’d love to be as good as the Spice Girls”. And with Simon behind them, we think they could actually do it.
Continuing the gossip, the Simon insider went on, “The Spice Girls set the bar high but Simon thinks there's no reason Little Mix can't better them. They are young and they work phenomenally hard, so the sky's the limit. There hasn't been such love for a girl band in years. Even Girls Aloud didn't have the initial buzz on Popstars: The Rivals that Little Mix have had.”
Well, we for one will admit we are obsessed with Little Mix and their amazingness right now and we’d be very happy to see them take over the charts and become huge!
