So earlier this week, Little Mix released their official video to debut single Cannonball – which was all filmed and presented in the traditional X Factor winner’s style (i.e. lots of tears, smiles and the key change at that inevitable moment that Dermot announced the winner). But have the Marcus Collins fans out there ever wondered what it would have been like if the smiley-faced one himself had bagged the majority vote? What would his winner’s video have looked like? Well now, you can find out!
Thankfully for us Marcus lovers, a creative soul out there (who is clearly a big Marcus fan too) has only gone and made a video for us, so we can see exactly how Marcus’ debut video might have gone should he have won that million pound record deal with Syco. And we have to say - this creative soul is a dab hand on the old edit button! And here it is, in all it’s glory.
But despite the fact we adore Marcus, it’s not quite the same as seeing Little Mix parading around looking fabulous, is it? Although there is a lot of Gary Barlow in the video – which frankly, can only be a good thing.
Of course, Little Mix did bag their first ever number one last weekend with Cannonball but this year, it looks like The X Factor won’t make the Christmas number one slot tomorrow as they are being truly trumped in the midweeks by the The Military Wives Choir single Wherever You Are. We can’t imagine Simon Cowell will be too happy about that – but fear not, if you love the girls, you can still catch them on the Top Of The Pops Christmas Special on BBC1 tomorrow at 2pm. Yay!
