The X Factor needs someone who’s not afraid to tell it like it is. While Gary Barlow went some way towards filling Simon Cowell’s Mr Nasty (stack-heeled) shoes, we have to admit we’d love it if someone as forthright as Noel Gallagher got on board.
The ex-Oasis frontman certainly knows all about the music biz, but he’s also very funny and we can so imagine that he’d be brutally, cuttingly honest - just like Simon.
However, Gary Barlow doesn’t need to worry about the prospect of fighting over the Head Judge mug just yet as Noel has only jokingly said that he’d be interesting in working on The X Factor,

“It's about six months' work, innit? I reckon it would have to be a million pounds after tax. I say that tongue-in-cheek,” Noel tells the Radio Times. “I don't really want to do it. But a million pounds for six months' work? That's good money if you can get it. Even I don't earn that much.”
Even for a million quid we imagine Noel would find it challenging to sit through hours and hours of dodgy X Factor auditions - Simon, offer him £2million!
