As we reported in the 9 0’Clock news this morning, Britney Spears – along with Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Demi Lovato – began the auditions stage of The X Factor USA in Texas yesterday.
But where Britney goes, drama often likes to follows – and the gossip on Twitter soon kicked off, with the hash tag Britneywalksoff spreading like wildfire across the social networking site.
It was rumoured that Brit was less than impressed when an X Factor hopeful sang a bad version of Brit’s hit Hold It Against Me. The 30-year-old star was said to storm off, leaving the remaining three judges to listen the auditionees in Austin, Texas.

However, Britney has hit back at the rumours, telling her followers on Twitter that she simply needed a break (we can’t blame her, there’s only so many bad auditions a person can listen to),
“#Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!” Brit wrote on the mircoblogging site.
The singer also tweeted about being kept waiting at the auditions for a certain Mr Simon Cowell.
“Just arrived for @TheXFactorUSA auditions - hope everyone is ready! Still waiting on @SimonCowell of course....”
Better get used to that, Britney.
