The X Factor 2012: Anger as girl band managed by Beyonce Knowles’ dad reach Boot Camp

There’s going to be no shortage of scandal and controversy on this year’s X Factor.

The new series of the TV talent show hasn’t even hit our screens yet, and already there’s an outrage over one of the acts who’ve reached the Boot Camp stage of the contest after Simon Cowell overturned the rule that banned acts with contracts from entering the competition.

Girl group From Above are managed by Matthew Knowles – as in Beyonce Knowles’ dad – and have already released an album and starred in their own MTV series Breaking From Above.

“It's disgusting. The X Factor is supposed to be about discovering raw, new talent,” a rival girl band member has told The Sun.

If some of the contestants aren’t happy, imagine the public outcry when the show airs later this summer.

X Factor Boot Camp carnage!

The five-piece group survived this week’s mass cull at the Liverpool Boot Camp. 60 acts were cut from the show before they even got the chance to sing again for the judges,

“It was carnage. They were told there would be an important announcement. They went out on stage to face Tulisa, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger- and then the bombshell. There were looks of shock on people's faces. Even the judges looked upset,” a source tells The Sun.

Do you think that an act who’s already had a fair crack at making it deserves a place on The X Factor?
