Simon Cowell has previously joked that Britney Spears is a meaner X Factor judge than everyone might expect, but it looks like Brit has channeled her inner Mel B thanks to her co-judge Demi Lovato.
“She's a very good judge,” Britney has told TV Guide. “She toughens me up! Sometimes I listen to her and I'm like, ‘Oh, God, I've got to be a little stronger.’”
Not only is Demi tougher than Britney, but Brit reckons that she’s cooler, too.
“Even though she's really young, she has such a sophistication about her. She's cooler than me.”
The X Factor USA love-fest wasn’t just going one way – Demi has also said some kind words about Britney, promising that we’ll get to see something of Britney that’s been hidden before – her sense of humour.
“I've said from day one, when [Britney] stepped on set, how funny she is,” Demi reveals. “I don't think a lot of people have gotten to see her personality and her sense of humour.”

What does Simon have to say about his new co-stars? As we mentioned earlier, Si-Co has insisted that Britney is the mean one,
“I've always said that the one person I wanted to bring onto the show was Britney, because I was fascinated with her as a person and as a pop star. She's a really, really good judge. And she's quite mean, as you'll discover.”
As for Demi. The X Factor boss has branded her a lovable brat. Charming!
“Demi is a brat. But there's something really likeable about her as well.”
Not long now and we’ll see for ourselves how mean/funny/bratty the new judges are! The X Factor USA begins in mid September.
