Oh dear.

This weekend will see Geri Halliwell embarrassing herself on The X Factor, as her desperation for former judge Kelly Rowland’s job is as clear as day.

Geri, who took to the judging panel for a short time while Kelly’s replacement was decided, can be seen making a bit of a fool of herself on The Xtra Factor as she serenades Louis Walsh, and sucks up to Tulisa Contostavlos and Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack.

Nicole Scherzinger was eventually given the job, so Geri’s efforts were all done in vain.

 

Geri sings to Louis: “Louis I know, the situations changing, so much is new, something in our lives remains the same, oh everything changes but you! We’ve been there from the start, we still love you! Everything changes but you, we’ve had so many judges but we all love you...”

Geri sucks up to the girls

The Spice Girl gushes about Tulisa saying: “I hadn’t met her, I knew I was going to like her; I’d like to be her friend.”

But Tulisa’s not convinced, telling the camera: “She’s a nutter.”

Geri even tries to get into Caroline’s good books by showering her with compliments, saying her eyes are “like a tiger, very nice…”

 

Gary Barlow’s not particularly impressed by Geri either after she says: “Not everyone in Take That could sing.”

But he is enjoying the attention he’s receiving from the female fans.

“I enjoy the attention, I mean you have got to in this job, one of the things about the other man being Louis means there’s really not much competition.”

Louis doesn’t take Gary’s comment lying down, mind you.

“Gary does get a lot of attention from women, it’s like the Tom Jones thing – they are all of a certain age.”

Meow, Louis!
