Cheryl Cole has made it perfectly clear that she’s only returning to The X Factor to help out her pal Gary Barlow.
We reported last week that Cheryl was returning to the show to help Gary at Judges’ Houses, but after Simon tweeted: “Welcome back Cheryl. X” she’s made a point that her decision to return has nothing to do with him.
She said: “I saw Simon’s tweet. I’m not doing this for him. I am doing this for Gary as he’s my friend and he asked me to do it.”
Cheryl’s narky comment suggests that she’s still not forgiven Simon for sacking her from The X Factor USA.
Cheryl joined Gary at Boughton House in Northamptonshire at the weekend to help him pick his contestants to take through to the live finals.
The Take That star was obviously chuffed to have spent the weekend with Chezza, tweeting: “Thank you @CherylCole for all your help this weekend. The contestants and I loved having you there xx.”
Gary fools us all
Gary made us all believe he would have his old pal Robbie Williams working with him at Judges’ House.
What a sneak!
But Gary isn’t snubbing Robbie, in fact he will still have a big part to play with The X Factor and will perform during the live shows.
“Robbie will still have a role to play and an important one at that.
“Gary hasn’t snubbed him, quite the opposite,” a source told The Sun.
“Robbie will be working with the guys during the live shows to help them work on stage presence and vocal performance.
“He had a blast on the show last year when he was Gary’s sidekick at the Los Angeles judges’ houses round and wants back in.”
Cheryl is also set to perform on the show.
