All of the X Factor contestants have been madeover by the show’s stylists; transformed into glossier, pop-starrier versions of themselves.

But heat wanted to get their mitts on the X Factor boys – not only to give them a good grilling, but also to dress them up. And what heat wants, heat gets.

“I was just so worried it was gonna be Gary,” Rylan tells heat of finding out who was going to mentor the boys group.

“He’s not my biggest fan. I think with Gary, you know – I love to hate Gary and Gary hates to love me. That’s the tagline there, definitely. But no I do love Gary, I’ve got a lot of, lot of, respect for him. Absolute respect for him.
 
Will that feeling ever be mutual? “I think deep down, Gary loves me. He’s just frightened to admit it,” says the pop hopeful.

“Gary loves me. I think it’s going to be ultimate banter between me and Gary and I think he might even ask me to join Take That on stage. I could be Lulu,” jokes Rylan.
