Hot diggity - there have been some seriously hot hotties in the The X Factor over the years.

From Aiden Grimshaw with his kooky style and slightly scary (but sexy) facial expressions, to Olly Murs, the cheekiest Essex chappie around.

Let's take a trip down memory lane and enjoy a little time with our pick of the hottest X Factor boys from as far back as 2005.

Runner-up on the 2009 series, Olly Murs has gone on to do some pretty great stuff since his appearance on the show.

The 28-year-old's music career's taken off (he toured America with One Direction, don't you know?) and he's got himself a presenting job on The Xtra Factor.

Must have something to do with his incredible talent - and we're not just talking about the one in his very tight trousers...

After beating Olly to the 2009 top spot, Joe McElderry used his lovely big voice to sell a whole bunch of records and win ITV's Popstar To Operastar.

And just look at the 21-year-old's cute little smile. He makes us want to pinch his cheeks all day long.

We'll admit we haven't seen much of Leon Jackson over the past few years, but that doesn't mean we've forgotten how good looking he was back in 2007.

The 23-year-old was crowned the winner of the fourth series of The X Factor. And sadly that was pretty much the last time we saw him and his funny little hairdo.

We miss you Leon - come back!

He may have missed out on the X Factor 2011 crown, but he's still a winner to us... But not an actual winner - Little Mix won. Marcus did not win, just to clarify.

Anywho, Marcus, 24, is a lovely bundle of hottness. And for that, we are forever grateful.

It's Chico Time!

Simon Cowell actually walked out of Chico Slimani's first audition, but he was soon won over by the 41-year-old... sort of.

After going AWOL for a few years, Chico returned to our TV screens on Dancing On Ice this year. Never have we been more happy to see a middle-aged man wearing a see-through shirt.

Our favourite former painter and decorator, Matt Cardle used his lovely vocal chords and even lovelier face to win The X Factor in 2010 - he even beat One Direction!

Hat or no hat, 29-year-old Matt is officially one of the hottest X Factor contestants of all time. And that's the end of it.

Italian stallion Nicolo Festa was the first one to be booted off The X Factor in 2010. And he made sure everyone knew how bummed out he was about it by sulking for the whole of The Xtra Factor.

But we didn't mind. In fact, we happen to like this 23-year-old's moody face - it's hot.

If you were to describe the world's hottest man, he'd probably be a hell of a lot like 2005 winner Shayne Ward.

Shayne, 27, had a bit of time off after The X Factor (he got dropped by his record label, but we don't talk about that) but he's now starring in the West End's Rock Of Ages.

He rocks a mullet wig better than any man we know.

Kooky little fella Aiden Grimshaw, 20, wowed the judges in 2010 when he did an impressive version of Kanye West's Gold Digger for his first audition. Simon Cowell even said: "Now that's what I call a popstar!"

Now that's what we call a hottie.
