Yesterday we brought you the super exciting news that Cheryl Cole WILL be back on The X Factor, today we can SHOW you the pictures of Cheryl with Gary Barlow at Judges’ Houses! *Let’s out loud, high-pitched squeal of delight*

Even looking at Gary and Cheryl smiling together at Boughton House in Northants we can’t quite believe it’s real - we never thought we’d see Cheryl back on The X Factor.

Up until now the rumour was that Robbie Williams would join his Take That buddy for Judges’ Houses again, but with Rob’s wife Ayda Field expecting the couple’s first child any day now it makes sense that Gary has recruited someone else. And that somone is Cheryl.

“Only Gary’s intimate inner circle know. He hasn’t even discussed it with Simon Cowell or ITV bosses. It’s been seriously top secret stuff,” an insider told The Sun yesterday.

“They’re all under the impression it’s going to be Robbie. No one even noticed the dates for the recording clashed with Robbie’s new solo tour.”

Gary and Cheryl have been good friends since climbing Mount Kilimanjaro together for Comic Relief in 2009. They sang together at the recent Diamond Jubilee concert celebrations, and it’s thought that this is when Gary convinced Chez to work with him on The X Factor.

On last night’s Jonathan Ross show, Cheryl even admitted that she has an awkward relationship with X Factor boss Simon Cowell,

“I do talk to him every now and again,” she told Jonathan, “We’re frenemies,” she admitted.

Which makes her appearance on The X Factor all the more surprising. Well, that and that fact that her manager will.i.am has said she’d never go back on the show,

 “Cheryl won't do X Factor. Why does she need it? Why are you going to make someone else rich? Cheryl needs her own show,” he said after she was sacked from the US version of the show.
