Every year there’s controversy on The X Factor about who the judges put through and who they reject.
Last weekend we were a little surprised when Nicole Scherzinger, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow didn’t put Joseph Whelan through to Judges’ Houses.
Rock singer Joseph seemed to tick all the right boxes – he can sing, he’s hot, and he’s got an adorable little son who’d help get in the votes.
However, the judges failed to select Joseph to go any further in the competition, and now the wannbe chart-topper is not best pleased about being rejected,
“The X Factor set me up for a fall. They shafted me by praising me so highly – then sending me home,” he complains in The Sun.
“I nailed all three of my performances and didn’t get one negative comment from the judges. So I was in complete shock when they kicked me out.
“But The X Factor loves controversy. They obviously decided the backlash was worth getting rid of me for.”
We think it’s a shame that Joseph was sent home, but that’s just the nature of a talent show competition. We hope je doesn't turn in to the new Steve Brookstein.
