The X Factor is about stir up some drama – yes, we’re about to say the words ‘wild’ and ‘card’.
This isn’t the first time that The X Factor has drafted in wildcard contestants to spice up the action, and this year four contestants who’ve previously been rejected by judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger will be allowed to battle it out for a spot in the live shows.
The four wildcards will go up against each other in a public vote all next week – the winning act will then be invited to perform along with the other 12 finalists at the first live show.
The wildcard selections will be revealed on Sunday’s show and fans will have the chance to vote for their favourite until midday the following Saturday.

“We like to add new twists to the show every year and this time the public get to choose an act to be added to the competition,” an X Factor insider tells The Sun.
“With the standard so high this year, the judges had a tough time choosing their three, so this gives another amazing act the chance to perform on the X Factor stage.”
At this point we have no idea who the lucky four acts are, but we do know that they are currently hiding out at the posh Corinthia Hotel in London with the final 12 acts.
Now we’re even more excited about this weekend’s show!
