He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but this year’s most flamboyant X Factor contestant, Rylan Clark, is starting to feel the wrath of his Twitter haters.
The Essex boy has been left frightened to leave his home and even fears for his after a number of death threats were sent to him via Twitter.
“I’ve had death threats, I’ve been told I’m going to be bottled and my face sliced open."
The 23-year-old, who last night found out he’d won a place on the live shows, has been threatened a number of times and it’s starting to affect the way he lives his life.
“At times it has killed me and it’s disgusting – some of these people act like I’m a murderer. It has made going out in public quite daunting.”

Rylan’s poor mum
But it’s not just Rylan – whose real name is Ross – that this is affecting. The tweets have also left him worried for his sick mother, and he fears reading the messages might make her worse.
He added: “My mum’s not silly, she knows not everyone will like me.
“But reading comments threatening to break into my house and firebomb me would shock anyone.”
Take no notice Rylan, there are plenty of people in the world – including us – who love you.
