What did you think of this weekend’s X Factor Xtravaganza?

The weekend we were treated to not one, but TWO whole X Factor audition shows.

With viewing figures down on last year, Simon Cowell reportedly flew over from the US to personally oversee the editing of both Saturday’s and Sunday’s shows. But did the big boss man’s input make any difference to the show?

On Saturday we had two Spice Girls; bonkers Geri Halliwell and there was more straight talking from Mel B.

Geri seemed to spend most of the time trying to prove that the Spice Girls are better than Take That. And Geri and Gary clashed massively over who could sing and who couldn’t – we have to admit we mostly agreed with Gazza.

Our highlight from the show… the very nervous but very talented Christopher. The 34-year-old customer services advisor from Liverpool could hardly contain how nervous he was, but he wowed everyone when he sang.

On Sunday the drama intensified. Every year – or so it seems – there’s a group who are split apart by the judges, and MK1 were told to get rid of their producer, who couldn’t, to be fair, actually sing.

There was also plenty to make us laugh thanks to cocky rocker Eddy String and Britney Spears impersonator Lorna Bliss. She turned up in a white string body stocking and –among other things - chased Gary around the judges’ table.

So what did you think about the show then? Was it entertaining enough for you, or has The X Factor lost its magic?
