Louis Walsh, the man at the centre of the latest X Factor storm has defended his decision to take last night’s results show to deadlock.
If you’ve managed to avoid all TV, newspapers and websites between 9pm last night and just now, let us fill you in on what’s going on…
As the two acts with the least public votes Carolynne Poole found herself in the Sing-off with Rylan Clark. After both acts performed their save me songs it was up to the judges to send someone home.

However, Louis Walsh couldn’t quite make up his mind, he even seemed to save Carolynne before changing his mind and taking the vote to Deadlock, leaving it to the fifth judge (that’s you lot, the public) to make the tough decision,
“I wanted to see who got the least amount of votes,” Louis told The Xtra Factor last night.
“It was a tough one as Rylan is so entertaining but she sang her heart out there. It was the right thing…. she got the least amount of votes.”
Do you agree with Louis, did he do the right thing or are you as cross as Gary Barlow with Louis’ decision?
