Melanie Masson is the latest X Factor casualty. Now she can’t win the show herself, who is the big-voiced mum-of-two tipping for victory?
Melanie has revealed that she thinks most worthy singers this year are Ella Henderson and Jahmene Douglas (we have to agree),
“It is hard because the talent is amazing, everybody is brilliant but I have got soft spots for a couple of people,” the 44-year-old singer said on Daybreak this morning.
“I love Jahmene, he is just amazing and Ella is extraordinary. She’s 16 and she’s so mature and grounded and she takes everything in her stride. She’s incredible.”
We can’t help but think that Mel has predicted who’ll be in the final two.
Deadlock drama – again!

Last night’s X Factor results show went to deadlock again. Melanie found herself in the bottom two with Louis Walsh’s boy band District 3.
After dividing the judges’ vote (Louis and Tulisa Contostavlos saved the boys, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger saved Melanie) Dermot O’Leary then revealed that Melanie lost the public vote, however she’s taken exiting the competition well.
“I think it’s just because I had such a brilliant time and I just felt it was a massive opportunity for me that I didn’t expect.
“I just loved every second of it,” she continued. “A few months ago nobody knew who I was, my named or anything and now I’m getting to sit here and all sorts of things have come up.
“ It’s really exciting, I’ve just had a brilliant time. I feel really, really lucky to have got to where I have.”
Are you sad to see the back of Mel, or do you think the public sent home the right act?
