Apart from a raging crush on the sexy waiter?! Started with little taster spoons of smoked mackerel with horseradish, insalate of mozzerella and pears with toasted walnits, primi of duck filled beetroot ravioli in duck consomme, secondi of slow roast balsamic pork on polenta, dessert of chocolate and hazelnut torte (and the pudding chef had written happy birthday in chocolate sauce, bless!) followed by coffee and the nicest chocolates ever. Heaven on a plate!

It was! Would def recommend going if you're in Cornwall and feel a bit flush (it's £55 for the taster menu).
Am having spinach and ricotta canneloni tonight. Home made

Jamie's Italian! I've been there too! Best advice is to go on saturday and start queuing about 5.30pm (as you can't book unless it's a group of 8 or more I think), you should be at a table in 30 minutes. Def worth a visit. There's a live camera in the kitchens which is screened onto the wall of the stairway! I want to go to River Cottage canteen in Bath sometime soon too. My other half went to Raymond Blanc's brasserie in Cabot Circus last Christmas, he says it's not worth bothering about!

If you want to have him treat you, Hotel du Vin have their Bistro 2000 and wine offer on again. 2 courses, bottle of wine and coffee for two for £39.00 (plus 10% service). That's total, not per person. I've eaten there twice this year on that offer, well worth it. Bookings go pretty quickly though. Here's the link: http://www.hotelduvin.co.uk/autumn_2000_and_wine/
